History
Car originally purchased from Germany, brought into the United States and subsequently transported to Mexico where it has remained for over years. The car was purchased new in Dallas, TX from the dealer and it was imported into Mexico City by its first owner. It was put into storage for many years and a prominent collector who is a member of the Mercedes Benz Club of Mexico City purchased the car and prepared it for its competitive showing in various Concours. This beautiful 1968 Mercedes Benz 280 SL has impressively won 1ST Place Division Winner in the Concours D’ Elegance, 6 years in a row, and People’s Choice 1ST Place Winner three times! Then the car left Mexico and was brought to California by its new owner where it has resided since. It was equally maintained in spectacular condition up until now. This vehicle is currently titled in California.
