Twas' the night before Christmas at Classic Showcase

Twas' the night before Christmas, and all through our shop
Impatient mechanics glanced at the clock,
As they hurried amongst classics, franticly mopping.
So they could go to Best Buy for some last minute shopping.
Wrenches were nestled all snug in draws,
while well-planted carpets hid oil on the floor.
And memos, and faxes and invoices were crunched;
amidst the piles of carne asada we’d lunched.
When out in the garage there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my desk to see what was the matter.
Away to the back gate I ran like a shot,
Tore open the door, and undid up the lock.
And, what to my wondering eyes should a-gog,
but a befuddled technician with too much eggnog.
And our upholsterer sat doubled over with laughter,
At the sight of his coveralls stuck on a ladder.
With curses abounding, so European and quick,
I knew in a moment it must be Derick.
The staff ran to see, our giggling faces aflame,
to the dismay of the boss who called us by name:
"Now Felipe! Now Javier!
Now, David and Ghio!
On, Padro! On, Derick!
On, Rene and Deano!
Back to work! Back to work!
You’re causing a fuss.
Now finish those cars!
Or you’ll get no Christmas Bonus!

We all sprang to action, the shop in a flurry,
to assemble the red E-Type Coupe in a hurry.
And Debbie made reports of the year’s sales,
While Brook scurried about taking out the mail.

So from here at Classic Showcase, may all things be right;
Merry Christmas to all, and to all an E-Type

    Dear Tom,

I'm looking into buying a classic Jaguar E-Type for myself and I was wondering if you can help address some of my questions.  Thank you for your time.

                                                                                                  Sincerely,

                                                                                                  Bill

Don't let the winter months cause unnecessary damage to your classic. If you plan to store the vehicle, follow these simple precautions to keep your baby safe and happy.  1.   Drain the petrol. If you can't or won't take that step, than add a few drops of additive that won't break down into the gas tank and carburetors. Marvell Mystery Oil is an amazing product and you'll find works wonders. To add oil to the gas, put a small amount into the cylinders.

2.   Disconnect the battery. If it is very cold, remove the battery completely and place on a trickle charger.

3.   Place your vehicle on jack stands. This will save your tires from getting a flat spot from sitting. If you don't have access to a stand then slightly over inflate the tires to compensate for the amount of time they'll not be in use.

4.   Make sure the car has plenty of anti-freeze.
5.   Keep your classic in a dry environment; if possible a climate controlled one. Never store a car in the dirt. When wet, it can cause rust. Always try to park your car on the pavement.

6.   Finally, give her one last polish, put on a car cover, say goodnight, and put her away until you are ready to take the scenic route again.
