The car, chassis CSX2557, is one of just six 289 Cobra factory team roadsters constructed to FIA specs for the 1964-65 U.S. Road Racing Championship series. A Classic Showcase Restoration, Scores 100 Points at JCSNE

The July-August 2008 edition of the JCNA’s Official Journal could not show anything more suited for the front page of a Jaguar aficionado magazine than an on-going 100-Point Winner, Clark Gable’s alloy XK120. This magnificent award-winning relic had to have been worked on, none other than here, at Classic Showcase. We’re happy for Mr. McCollam as he must be one of the proudest owners of any automobile in the world.

Tom Krefetz Brings a Committee of Jaguar Judges to Mexico City

Reading further into the Jaguar Journal, there’s an article narrated by Tom Krefetz, the President of Classic Showcase. It’s quite interesting to learn just how entertaining it could be to participate in a committee of Judges for Jaguar concourses. This particular concourse was held in Mexico earlier this year about an hour’s drive from DF. Tom goes on about how most of the work is hardly “work” at all, if not- just a wonderful time for wining, dining, and celebrating nothing more than just being there. Jaguars, Judging Committees, and midnight tacos- what more can set off a concourse just right? Find out more... -Click Here-

356A Speedster Sets World Record at Auction

During RM's classic car auction at the Biltmore resort hotel in Phoenix, AZ, Classic Showcase's 1958 Porsche 356A Speedster set a world record. It sold for $220,000, the highest auction price ever for this model. Originally a Southern California car, this matching-numbers Speedster found its way to Iowa and, for the last forty years, has remained under the same ownership. As presented, it remains very original and in remarkable overall condition with approximately 74,000 original miles. By all accounts, it has been garage-kept and well maintained throughout its life and very recently received a professional, comprehensive service and detailing at Classic Showcase in Oceanside, California.
